Artin Pro Breaks Silence Over Uncle Chumi’s S=xual Harassment Allegations
Celebrated Ugandan music producer Musoke Martin, popularly known as Artin Pro, has come forward to clear the air amid swirling controversy involving rising artist Uncle Chumi, born Mushabe Crek Haidare.
The drama stems from a recent studio collaboration between the two on Chumi’s song “Who,” which has since sparked public debate following allegations made by the artist against Artin.
In particular, Chumi accused the producer of inappropriate behavior during their studio sessions — claims Artin Pro strongly denies.
In a statement released to the public, Artin shed light on how he came to work with Chumi. He revealed that he initially had reservations about the project but was convinced to offer his services voluntarily after being informed that it had backing from a sponsor.
“I undertake projects for various reasons – sometimes for commercial gain, but often to uplift and support emerging talent,” Martin explained. “Motivated by this spirit and my humble beginnings, I agreed to volunteer my services on this occasion.”
He also addressed the impact the allegations have had on both his personal and professional life, revealing that the situation has caused distress among his family, clients, and industry colleagues.
“Such claims may appear trivial to some, but I take them seriously, particularly when they threaten my professional reputation and legacy,” he added.
Taking a firmer tone, Artin directly addressed Uncle Chumi, warning that her actions could come with serious legal and reputational consequences if left unaddressed. While some may have viewed the situation as a joke or publicity stunt, the producer made it clear that he considers the accusations deeply damaging.
“If this matter was intended in jest, I assure you that to me, it is no laughing matter – it is an attack on my reputation and legacy,” Artin further stated.
He concluded by urging Chumi to issue a sincere and public apology, leaving the door open for reconciliation but making it clear that his integrity remains non-negotiable.
The incident is just the latest in a string of controversies surrounding Uncle Chumi, who has previously come under fire for controversial remarks targeting DJs and other figures in the Ugandan music scene. Whether this latest chapter ends in apology or escalation remains to be seen.
