Prominent politician Hon Fred Mukasa Mbidde has urged young men under 25 to refrain from marrying.

He expressed concern for these men, stating that they are unwittingly entangling themselves in a host of problems.

He mentioned that their marriages would likely result in children who might harbor resentment towards them for a lifetime. Furthermore, he noted that the women they choose to date could become a source of trouble once they enter genuine relationships.

“I truly feel pity for young men under 25 who are considering marriage. The reality is that you are not prepared, and you will end up having children who could resent you for life.

“You will also face challenges with that woman when you eventually discover your true partner. Just take it slow and focus on your well-being,” he expressed.

He also cautioned women over 30 against hurrying into marriage. He suggested that they should focus on building their financial stability so that they can be the ones to choose their partners.

Since women over 30 may find fewer suitors, they might have to settle for what’s available; however, having financial resources can simplify their search for a partner.
