Lydia Jazmine Opens Up on Her Relationship with Her Exes

Ugandan songbird Lydia Jazmine of the ‘Masuuka’ hit song, says she has no bad blood with her exes and still talks to them.

She made the revelations while appearing on Sanyuka TV’s Bigenda Bitya show.

The artist, a prominent figure in the Ugandan music scene, emphasized the importance of maintaining positive connections even after a fallout.

“I believe in respecting individuals and their relationships,” Jazmine stated. “You will find me talking to my exes because I move on quite well and diplomatically.”

Speaking candidly about her affection for children and family, Jazmine expressed hopes of starting her own family someday.

She also spoke about her adopted child, Maria Mata who she met during one of her charity activities in Jinja a few years ago.

“She is not an orphan, her parents are existent but they experience some economic challenges given the number of children they have. With permission from them, I adopted Maria Mata,” she revealed.

Jazmine’s recent successes, including her “First Born” concert and music releases, have solidified her status as a household name in Uganda’s music industry.

Sheila Gashumba Speaks Out on New Step Mother, Makes Demands

Sheilah Gashumba has revealed that she would never call her father’s new wife “Mum.” She goes on to ask for two siblings from her.

Believed to be about 26 years old, Patience Mutoni Malaika introduced Frank Gashumba to her parents at a Gusaba ceremony held in Sembabule on Thursday, 15th May 2025.

Social media immediately started questioning the age gap between the couple, highlighting how, at 50 years old, Frank Gashumba has finally found love in a 20-something-year-old.

Sheilah Gashumba was also thrown into the mix.

In a tweet on Friday, renowned media personality-cum-politician Simon Kaggwa-Njala dared to ask if she would refer to Pateince as “Mum.”

Sheilah immediately laughed it off, noting that it is a title she can only give to the lady who birthed her. She also asked Patience to bless her with two siblings.

“Unfortunately, I can’t, I will only call the woman who gave birth to me ‘mum’, so everyone must calm down. Wama congratulations, beautiful Malaika!! I need two siblings.”
