Bebe Cool Says Collab With Bobi Wine Can Only Happen ‘If He Removes His Political Blindfold’”

Ugandan music heavyweight Bebe Cool has opened up about the long-debated possibility of recording a song with his longtime rival Bobi Wine—and he didn’t hold back.

Speaking during a recent radio interview, Bebe Cool said a collaboration could only happen if Bobi Wine stops letting politics get in the way of relationships.

“Only when he removes his political blindfold. You don’t need to make enemies to succeed,” Bebe stated.

Although the two once ruled the music scene together—famously teaming up for the hit Futulain the early 2000s—their friendship has since unraveled, overshadowed by politics and personal differences. Bebe, who’s currently promoting his new Break The Chainsalbum, added that he doesn’t look back fondly on their past.

“We were just young and immature. We grew up differently, and I couldn’t handle his character.”

While fans still dream of a reunion, Bebe Cool has made it clear that unless something big changes, a musical comeback with Bobi Wine isn’t on the list.

For now, both artists remain focused on their separate journeys—Bobi in politics, Bebe on his music legacy.
